Lauren’s Run, founded in 1992 in memory of Lauren Zagoria, a precious two-year old from Atlanta with big, golden curls, and continuing also in memory of Lauren Kochman, a beautiful 3 year old with big brown eyes who lost her battle with neuroblastoma just before the first Lauren’s Run took place. Lauren’s Run has raised more than $3 million for pediatric cancer research. For more information on Lauren’s Run please visit www.curechildhoodcancer.org.
CURE is a non-profit organization dedicated to conquering childhood cancer through research, education, and support of patients and their families. Mission: CURE Childhood Cancer was founded in 1975 by parents who knew firsthand the heartbreak and fear of having a child with cancer. They set out to improve the odds for these kids and help their families face the challenge. Due to research, much progress has been made since that time. The survival rate for children with cancer has increased dramatically to its current rate of nearly eight out of ten. Best of all, researchers feel they will discover a cure in our lifetime. Until then, there is much to be done, and that is where CURE comes in. They believe childhood cancer can be cured. CURE’s mission includes funding important research and providing support programs to help children and their families deal with this dreadful disease.
