My Family

I took off vacation days to help my neighbor pack, clean and move out of her house. She and her 5 children ranging from 16 down to 6 years old had no place to go once she moved out. We had her live with us for 2 1/2 months until housing kicked in and we could find her a decent place to live. We continued supporting and helping her for the months to come. Once they moved into our house we saw this family go from being traumatized to peace, to very comfortable. I told the teenage daughter in the beginning when she was feeling bad about the situation, that it could happen to anyone and the best way to repay us would be to pass on an acts of service to someone else who may need help.
