Port Charlotte Fl Team

We are all saving plastic grocery bags, folding, cutting, joining together to make a large ball of plarn (plastic yarn). Then the balls are crocheted into 3' x 6' mats. It takes close to 800 bags to make a mat. These will be given to the homeless to insulate whatever they are currently sleeping on from the dampness and cold.

One of our team members (Tim Lindsay) does wood burning and makes beautiful boxes with the cocoa bean and acai berry burned into the wood boxes. He also spells out Xocai the healthy chocolate. He is donating $5.00 from the sale of each box to go along with the mats to our local Homeless Coalition.

These are going to be on going projects for our team.
